Maria
With no podcast experience, the pandemic put Maria into the position of creating a pathway for connection to traditions in a way that she was not accustomed to doing. With the goal of connecting, Maria set forth to bring the idea of Syrtos to life. From her condo in the Washington, DC metro area, to her new home in South Florida, Maria continues her passion of storytelling to connect. She is beyond thrilled at the growth of the podcast and credits much of the success to those that supported the podcast from the jump.
Nikos
Originally appeared as one of the seasons' guests he was promoted to the position of co-host of the podcast. His love for Greek dance, music, and traditions all stemmed from an early age and was heavily involved throughout his life as an instructor and director. As a product of the Greek diaspora, it was important to understand why and how all these dances and traditions came to be. With so much being lost in the past, this is our way to eternalize and save what we have left from generations past. Upholding our Greek traditions was only the start of a great journey. Join us in diving deeper and learning all about the dance, music, and history with guests from all around the world.
